Marco was born into a large family, and his father was a fisherman. At the age of 6 he started fishing with him, looking between the rocks for octopuses. These fishing activities enchanted him so much that in third grade he mastered the skill of making nets. At 15 he decided to embark for the first time, and he hasn't stopped fishing at sea since.

Marco è nato in una famiglia numerosa in cui il padre faceva il pescatore. Con lui ha iniziato a pescare fin da quando aveva 6 anni, andando a cerca di polpi. La manualità dei pescatori lo affascinava, tanto che in terza elementare già sapeva fare le reti.
A 15 anni si è imbarcato per la prima volta, e da allora non ha più smesso.
