Pedro is 50 years old, he’s been a fisherman for 30 years. He has a son and he’s married. In his spare time, he likes to do construction work and go fishing. He thinks that the project is benefiting fishermen with their day-to-day expenses. It is bringing only good things and they’re helping to clean up their “backyard”.

Nel tempo libero gli piace dedicarsi ai lavori di costruzione e andare a pesca. 
Ritiene che il progetto stia aiutando i pescatori nelle loro spese quotidiane: sta portando solo cose buone e permette ai pescatori di ripulire il loro "cortile".

Mario Sergio Francisco has been married for 11 years and has 2 children. 
Increasingly unsuccessful fishing has prompted him to protect the ocean by collecting trash from the sea. His goal is to make the sea cleaner for future generations.

La pesca sempre meno fruttuosa l'ha spinto a proteggere l'oceano raccogliendo rifiuti dal mare. Il suo obiettivo è rendere il mare più pulito per le prossime generazioni.

I Wayan Sudiasa is 42 years old, lives in Denpasar and is married with 5 children. He started fishing 10 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. He became a fisherman because he chose to follow in the footsteps of his grandparents who also passed on to him a respect for the planet. This is precisely why he is very happy to be able to protect it by collecting marine litter.

É diventato pescatore perché ha scelto di seguire le orme dei suoi nonni che gli hanno anche trasmesso il rispetto per il pianeta. Proprio per questo è molto felice di poterlo proteggere raccogliendo rifiuti dal mare.

Samuel has been fishing in Rio since 2003 to support his large family - he is married and he has five children!
Besides fishing, he enjoys flying kites, playing marbles, and doing mechanical repairs.

Samuel pesca a Rio dal 2003 per mantenere la sua numerosa famiglia: è sposato e ha 5 figli!
Oltre a pescare, gli piace far volare gli aquiloni, giocare a biglie e fare riparazioni meccaniche.

I Made Purnawan is 49 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Wayan Arnasih and has 2 children. In 2005 he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, because fishing has been his passion since childhood. In addition to his work at sea, he is also a taxi driver.

I Made Purnawan ha 49 anni e vive a Denpasar. È sposato con Ni Wayan Arnasih e ha 2 figli. Nel 2005 si è unito a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, la comunità locale di pescatori, perché la pesca è la sua passione fin dall'infanzia. Oltre al suo lavoro in mare, fa anche il tassista.

Luciano is 43 years old and has been a fisherman for about 30 years, he has been a fisherman basically all his life. In his spare time he likes to go for walks, he has two children and is married. He considers the project effective and wonderful.

Luciano ha 43 anni ed è pescatore da circa 30 anni, praticamente da tutta la sua vita. Durante il tempo libero gli piace fare passeggiate. Ha due bambini ed è sposato. Considera il progetto efficace e meraviglioso.

Abbiamo iniziato a pescare da piccoli con nostro padre; dopo la scuola, d'estate, ci portava con sè a pescare nel Golfo di Cagliari, con una piccola barca da piccola pesca. Dopo aver conseguito la Licenza Media abbiamo scelto di fare questo bellissimo mestiere, che richiede tanti sacrifici ma da anche grandi soddisfazioni. Il grande passo lo abbiamo compiuto quando abbiamo fatto cin tutta la ostruire il Gemini II, un bellissimo peschereccio, unica imbarcazione autorizzata a effettuare la pesca mediterranea nel Compartimento di Cagliari. Con esso ci siamo tolti grandi soddisfazioni dal punto di vista professionale perchè la barca ci ha consentito di poter pescare in aree poco sfruttate e ricche di pesce. Per quanto riguarda la presenza di rifiuti bisogna precisare che mentre fino a circa 20/25 anni fa il mare era ancora ricco di pesce, e soprattutto di crostacei di pregio commerciale (gamberi e scampi), le nostre principali specie bersaglio, oggi queste specie sono sicuramente meno abbondanti, ma, di contro,  i fondali sono più puliti. Nel Golfo di Cagliari e nella costa sud-orientale, non era infrequente pescare rifiuti di plastica e bottiglie, per quanto riguarda queste ultime in una zona ve ne erano di moltissime, di tutte le epoche,  tant'è che chiamavamo quella cala la "cala delle bottiglie" ; nella costa sud occidentale pescavamo anche numerosi residui delle esercitazioni militari (soprattutto pezzi di missili e proiettili). Attualmente la nostra giornata in mare comincia all'alba; durante la giornata effettuiamo circa 3 cale da 5/6 ore l’una, intervallate da periodi in cui vengono selezionati, confezionati,  abbattuti (refrigerati rapidamente a -40°C) i gamberi, e stoccati nelle celle frigorifere. Durante le cale, a turno,  parte dell'equipaggio effettua lavori di pulizia e manutenzione, mentre gli altri si riposano. Il rientro avviene nel porto più vicino intorno alle 3 del mattino, per poter consegnare il pescato al mercato all’ingrosso; occorre, infatti, non soltanto pescare ma far arrivare il prorotto al mercato il prima possibile, per poter effettuare una buona vendita. La barca a volte non si ferma per tutta la settimana e in condizioni meteo climatiche favorevoli ritorna in porto anche dopo 2 settimane. Il sabato, generalmente, è la giornata , giornata dedicata alle operazioni di piccola manutenzione e pulizia della barca dopodichè l’equipaggio viene lasciato libero fino alla domenica sera. 
Abbiamo aderito con entusiasmo al  progetto di Ogyre perché siamo consapevoli che il nostro mare sia in sofferenza ed è necessario che per primi noi, che traiamo da esso il nostro quotidiano sostentamento, dobbiamo porre rimedio a tanti anni di incuria e abbandono. Bisogna riconoscere tuttavia che seppure la pesca a strascico sia considerata nociva per gli stock ittici dall'altra parte oggi possiamo dire che grazie alla quotidiana raccolta delle nostre barche, almeno in tutte le cale effettuate, notiamo una presenza di rifiuti nettamente inferiore. Non possiamo pensare però che, in tutte quelle aree nelle quali non viene praticato lo strascico, la situazione sia altrettanto migliorata.

Thales is 28 years old, he has been a fisherman for about 8 years, he has known Guanabara Bay since I was very young as he lives in the Maré community. In his spare time, he likes to study, go shopping and live a good life. He’s not married and he doesn’t have children. He thinks this is a great project as it creates jobs, provides extra income for fishing communities, and helps the Guanabara Bay.

Thales ha 28 anni e fa il pescatore all’incirca da quando ne aveva 8, fin da quando era molto giovane è stato a contatto con la Baia di Guanabara poiché vive nella comunità di Maré. Nel tempo libero gli piace studiare, fare shopping e vivere bene. Non è sposato e non ha figli. Pensa che il progetto sia molto buono perché sta creando posti di lavoro per diverse persone, integrando il loro reddito, oltre ad aiutare la Baia di Guanabara

Odete is 55 years old and she’s been a fisher for over 10 years. She’s married, has a son, a daughter and a granddaughter. When she has free time, she likes to watch TV with her 12-year-old granddaughter, and on weekends, has a beer. She really likes the project. In addition to removing waste from Guanabara Bay, it helps to supplement her income at home.

Odete ha 55 anni, è pescatrice da oltre 10 anni. È sposata, ha un figlio, una figlia e una nipote. Nel tempo libero le piace guardare la televisione con la nipote di 12 anni e nei fine settimana bersi una birra in compagnia. Il progetto le piace moltissimo: oltre a permettere la pulizia della Baia di Guanabara, la aiuta a integrare le sue entrate in casa.

I Wayan Suletra is 56 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to I Nyoman Ayu Mudiarta and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He officially became a fisherman 35 years old even though he and his parents had been going out to sea for many years before that. In addition to fishing, he also works as a janitor at the village office.

I Wayan Suletra ha 56 anni ed è di Kuta. È sposato con I Nyoman Ayu Mudiarta e ha 2 figli e 4 nipoti. È diventato ufficialmente un pescatore 35 anni anche se, insieme ai suoi genitori, usciva in mare già da molti anni prima. Oltre alla pesca, lavora anche come custode presso la sede del villaggio.

Marco was born into a large family, and his father was a fisherman. At the age of 6 he started fishing with him, looking between the rocks for octopuses. These fishing activities enchanted him so much that in third grade he mastered the skill of making nets.
At 15 he decided to embark for the first time, and he hasn't stopped fishing at sea since.

Marco è nato in una famiglia numerosa in cui il padre faceva il pescatore. Con lui ha iniziato a pescare fin da quando aveva 6 anni, andando a cerca di polpi. La manualità dei pescatori lo affascinava, tanto che in terza elementare già sapeva fare le reti.
A 15 anni si è imbarcato per la prima volta, e da allora non ha più smesso.

Bruno is 37 years old, he’s been a fisherman since he was a child, born and raised in the sea. He’s married, he has a son and 2 daughters. In his spare time, he likes to go fishing. He finds the project awesome and his team is still cleaning Guanabara Bay.

Bruno ha 37 anni, è pescatore da quando era bambino, nato e cresciuto in mare. E’ sposato, ha un figlio e due figlie. 
Nel tempo libero gli piace andare a pesca. 
Ritiene che il progetto sia fantastico perché gli permette anche di pulire la Baia di Guanabara.

I Wayan Suarnata is 28 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married with 2 children and has been a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang member for 7 years. He became a fisherman to support his family and now collects marine litter to make the planet a better place for his childeren's future as well.

Jose has always loved the sea and started fishing when he was 47 years old. He immediately noticed the increasing degradation of ocean conditions, which is precisely why he joined the collection project. 

José ha sempre amato il mare e ha iniziato a pescare a 47 anni. Ha subito notato il crescente peggioramento delle condizioni dell'oceano, proprio per questo ha aderito al progetto di raccolta.

For five years, Massimo worked on a petriolier before moving into the fishing business. Initially, on offshore boats, then from 1995, with trawling boats, assisting with the recovery of protected animals in trouble and with waste collection.

Massimo per 5 anni ha lavorato su petrioliere poi si è spostato nel settore della pesca. Prima su imbarcazioni d'altura e da 8 anni lavora nel porto di Cesenatico con la pesca a strascico, collaborando per il recupero di animali protetti in difficoltà e con la raccolta dei rifiuti.

Denis is 51 years old, he’s been a fisherman ever since he can remember, since he was a child, it’s his favourite sport.
He is married and has 3 children. He likes to go out fishing and diving. He thinks that the project is a very good initiative. He wasn’t working so the project helps him a lot; on days when he can’t fish, he has the income from collecting recyclable material.

Denis ha 51 anni, è pescatore da quando ha memoria, da quando era bambino, è il suo sport preferito. E’ sposato e ha 3 figli. Gli piace andare a pesca e fare immersioni. Ritiene che il progetto sia un’ottima iniziativa, lo aiuta molto perché non stava lavorando quindi nei giorni in cui non va a pesca può avere un’entrata dalla raccolta di materiale riciclabile.

Daniel is 64 years old, he’s been a fisherman since he was 7 years old but he only registered as one in 1999. He’s not married and he has a daughter. In his spare time, he likes to go fishing and he thinks this is a great project. 

Daniel ha 64 anni, è pescatore da quando ne aveva 7 ma si è iscritto all’albo dei pescatori solo nel 1999. Non è sposato e ha una figlia. Nel tempo libero gli piace andare a pesca. Pensa che il progetto sia ottimo.

Married father of 3 children and grandfather of 3 grandchildren, fishing since 1980, very grateful to be able to participate in the project and help clean the sea.

Luiz Carlos è sposato, padre di tre figli e nonno di 3 nipoti, pesca dal 1980. E’ molto grato di poter partecipare al progetto e contribuire alla pulizia dei mari.

Jorge ''Boquinha'' is 65 years old and has been a fisherman since 1989, completing 32 years in the fishing community.  Before becoming a fisherman, he worked at the shipyard located in Praia de Bancários.  In his free time, he likes to fish, drink beer, play football and play cards.  He is the father of 5 children and is married.  He loves the project, he thinks it's great and considering the fishing is not very good, it's great to be part of this project.

Jorge ''Boquinha'' ha 65 anni ed è pescatore dal 1989, completando 32 anni nella comunità di pescatori. Prima di diventare pescatore, ha lavorato presso il cantiere navale situato a Praia de Bancários. Nel tempo libero gli piace pescare, bere birra, giocare a calcio e giocare a carte. È padre di 5 figli ed è sposato. Ama il progetto, pensa che sia fantastico e considerando che la pesca non è molto buona, è fantastico far parte di questo progetto.

Fabrizio Benvenuto initially started working in a workshop, but since he spent every spare moment fishing in 1995 he quit his job to buy a fishing boat.
In 2015 he got a small trawler (Ermete) with which he retrieves kilograms of litter every day. Before, he was forced to throw them back into the water, but now, thanks to a matured environmental awareness and Ogyre helping him to dispose them properly, he gladly gives his contribution to protect the sea.

Fabrizio Benvenuto ha cominciato a lavorare in carrozzeria, ma dato che ogni momento libero lo passava a pescare nel 1995 ha lasciato il lavoro per comprarsi un gozzo da pesca.
Nel 2015 ha preso un piccolo peschereccio a strascico (Ermete) con cui recupera ogni giorno kg di rifiuti. Prima era costretto a rigettarli in acqua, ma ora, grazie a una maturata sensibilità ambientale e Ogyre che lo aiuta a smarltirli correttamente, dà volentieri il suo contributo per proteggere il mare.

José è un artigiano dal 1990. La pesca è la sua passione e il suo secondo reddito che gli permette di supportare ancora meglio la sua famiglia.

Simone is 32 years old and he is the youngest among the fishermen of Santa Margherita.
During the week he goes out on the Felicina with his father, while on weekends he works in his small floating fry, "Il Pescitariano".

Simone ha 32 anni ed è il più giovane tra i pescatori di Santa Margherita.
Durante la settimana esce sulla Felicina con il padre, mentre nei fine settimana lavora nella sua piccola friggitoria galleggiante, "Il Pescitariano".

Alberto has been working for 10 years on the boat "Martin Pescatore." For him, the sea is a passion such that, in addition to picking up litter while fishing, he works with the local marine animal rescue center. 

Alberto lavora da 10 anni a bordo di "Martin Pescatore". Per lui il mare è una passione tant'è che, oltre a raccogliere rifiuti durante la pesca, collabora con il centro di recupero animali marini della zona.

I Made Suparta is 43 years old, lives in Denpasar and is married with 2 children. He started fishing 25 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Becoming a fisherman allows him to support his family, and marine litter collection is a way for him to ensure a healthier and happier future for them. 

I Made Suparta ha 43 anni, vive a Denpasar ed è sposato con 2 figli. Ha iniziato a pescare 25 anni fa, quando si è iscritto al KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Diventare pescatore gli permette di supportare la sua famiglia e la raccolta dei rifiuti marini rappresenta per lui un modo per garantire loro un futuro più sano e felice.

I Wayan Wirawan is 47 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Eka Ediawati and has 3 children. He started fishing 25 years ago and joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang in 2005, the local fishing community. Since he was a child he looked forward to spending his days at sea, so he decided to turn his passion into his occupation. In addition to fishing, I Wayan is a laborer in a construction site.

Ha iniziato a pescare 25 anni fa e si è unito a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang nel 2005, la comunità locale di pescatori. Fin da quando era bambino lui non vedeva l'ora di trascorrere le sue giornate in mare, per questo ha deciso di trasformare la sua passione nella sua occupazione. Oltre a pescare, I Wayan fa l'operaio in un cantiere edile.

Ailton has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He worked for 12 years in an airline company and is now the keeper of the fishing colony. In his free time he likes to tidy up and play dominoes. 

Ailton ha 3 figli e 3 nipoti. Ha lavorato per 12 anni in una compagnia aerea e ora è il custode della colonia di pescatori. Nel suo tempo libero gli piace riordinare e giocare a domino.

José Henrique, better known as Riquinho, is 40 years old and has been a fisherman since he was little. About 30 years ago, he was just a kid when he started. In his spare time he likes to drink beer and go fishing. Has no children and is not married. He finds the fishing for litter a great project.

Since I was a child, I practiced fishing as main activity with my father and my relatives. After so much time and effort, I finally managed to buy my own boat to spread the passion for the sea to my children. Every time I pick up the net, I find trash of every kind. This is why I am really grateful of being part of Ogyre's mission.

Fin da quando era piccolo ho svolto il mestiere di pescatore insieme a mio padre e ai miei zii. Con il tempo e il duro lavoro, ho avuto la possibilità di comprarmi un'imbarcazione tutta mia per tramandare questo mestiere ai miei figli. Ogni volta che tiro su la rete, trovo incagliati rifiuti di ogni genere. Per questo sono molto fiero di far parte della missione Ogyre.

Alessandro started fishing when he was very young, thanks to the teachings of more experienced fishermen. 
Twelve years ago he finally got a boat of his own.  He helps with the collection of litter, protecting the waters of his Adriatic.  

Alessandro ha iniziato a lavorare in mare quando era molto giovane grazie agli insegnamenti di pescatori più esperti. 
12 anni fa ha finalmente preso un'imbarcazione tutta sua con cui esce per pescare e per riportare rifiuti, tutelando così le acque del suo Adriatico.

I Ketut Lodra is 52 years old, lives in Denpansar and is married with 2 children. He started fishing 9 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Becoming a fisherman allows him to support his family and at the same time protect his beloved sea.

Rodrigo, better known as ‘’Tecão’’, has been a fisherman for 20 years, lives in Praia dos Bancários, is single and has a 14-year-old daughter. In his free time he likes to drink beer and go fishing.

Rodrigo, meglio conosciuto come "Tecão" è un pescatore da 20 anni. Vive a Praia dos Bancários, è single e ha una figlia di 14 anni. Nel tempo libero gli piace uscire a bere una birra con gli amici e andare a pesca.

I Made Sudana is 40 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married with Ni Made Indrantini and has 3 children. He has been working as a fisherman for 17 years and has joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, since 2005. He decided to join the Ogyre project because then, in addition to traditional fishing, he can protect nature by "fishing" for litter trapped in the mangrove forest. When, due to weather, he cannot go out to sea, he works as a driver in his hometown.

Lavora come pescatore da 17 anni e dal 2005 si è unito alla KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, la comunità locale di pescatori. Ha deciso di far parte del progetto di Ogyre perché così, oltre alla pesca tradizionale, può proteggere la natura "pescando" i rifiuti intrappolati nella foresta di mangrovie. Quando, a causa del tempo, non può uscire in mare lavora come autista nella sua città.

Massimiliano started fishing 34 years ago, when he was just 18 years old. 
He has chosen to help clean up the Adriatic with future generations in mind - to let them live and experience a litter-free sea. 

Massimiliano ha iniziato a pescare 34 anni fa, quando aveva appena 18 anni. 
Lui ha scelto di aiutare a ripulire l'adriatico pensando alle generazioni future: per far in modo che anche loro possano conoscere e vivere un mare senza rifiuti.

Jussiara and the beginning of her lovely relationship with fishing dates back to the golden years of her youth. In this perspective, the sea has always been fundamental to her, becoming the window from which she could observe the world and grasp her main reason of life. 

L’amore per la pesca di Jussiara ebbe inizio negli anni d’oro della sua giovinezza. Il mare è sempre stato fondamentale per lei, a tal punto da essere la finestra da cui tuttora guarda il mondo e da cui trae la sua fonte primaria di vita.

Wayan Pasek Pastika is 40 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Nyoman Rasmini and has 2 children. He joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang fishing community in 2005 because fishing has been his passion since he was a child. In addition to his occupation at sea, he also works as a gas station attendant. 

Wayan Pasek Pastika ha 40 anni e vive a Kuta. È sposato con Nyoman Rasmini e ha 2 figli. Nel 2005 entrato a far parte della comunità di pescatori KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang perché la pesca è la sua passione già da quando era bambino. Oltre alla sua occupazione in mare, lavora anche come benzinaio.

My name is Antonio, I am 45 years old, and I am the most inexperienced fisherman here in the port, surrounded by colleagues who come from generations of fishermen. My story is different: I started fishing by chance after a career as a professional football player.
Everything changed the day my father-in-law took me fishing for the first time. It was an experience that fascinated me so much that I decided to leave football behind and dedicate myself entirely to fishing. Now, I have been doing this job for eleven years.
What I love most is the sense of peace and freedom that comes with working at sea—something unique and impossible to find on land.

Mi chiamo Antonio, ho 45 anni e sono il pescatore più novellino qui in porto, circondato da colleghi che provengono da generazioni di pescatori. La mia storia è diversa: ho iniziato a pescare per caso, dopo una carriera da calciatore professionista.
Tutto è cambiato il giorno in cui mio suocero mi portò per la prima volta a pescare. È stata un'esperienza che mi ha conquistato a tal punto da spingermi a lasciare il calcio per dedicarmi completamente alla pesca. Ora sono già undici anni che faccio questo mestiere.
Quello che amo di più è la sensazione di tranquillità e libertà che si prova lavorando in mare, qualcosa di unico e impossibile da trovare sulla terraferma.

Wellington is 42 years old. He was a locksmith before the pandemic hit, before starting this project. He is married and has a 14 year old son. When he has free time, he likes to play soccer, fly a kite and play video games with his son. He is finding the project ''beautiful''. It's only the beginning but it promises to get much better with time.

Wellington ha 42 anni. Lavorava come fabbro, ma con la pandemia è rimasto senza lavoro. Per questo ha deciso di unirsi al progetto, che gli permette di avere un'entrata fissa. È sposato e ha un figlio di 14 anni. Nel tempo libero, gli piace giocare a calcio, far volare gli aquiloni e giocare ai videogiochi con suo figlio. Trova il progetto "bellissimo": è solo all'inizio ma il proposito è quello di migliorare.

Ho iniziato a pescare a 15 anni, nel 1976, imbarcato su un peschereccio a strascico. Le nostre aree di pesca comprendevano il Golfo di Cagliari, le coste sud orientale e sud occidentale della Sardegna. Certamente prima il mare era più pescoso; ricordo belle pescate di gamberi e scampi in quantità che non ho più visto, ma anche di merluzzi, triglie e pesce bianco.
Ritengo che oggi il mare sia più pulito. Ricordo infatti di aver effettuato per l'Università di Cagliari Dipartimento di Biologia campagne di pesca sperimentali, anche a 900 metri e di aver raccolto nel sacco della rete, ogni genere di rifiuto oltre agli immancabili piatti, bottiglie e bicchieri di plastica (alcuni marcati addirittura "traghetti Canguro"). A volte capitava di fare delle vere e proprie "saccate" di idrocarburi solidificati,  fusti di olio, grandi filtri olio e gasolio e altri residui di manutenzione di grandi navi che solcavano queste acque, testimonianza inequivocabile di "smaltimenti pirata" . Nella costa sud occidentale si raccoglievano, proiettili di carro e aereo, missili anche inesplosi o frammenti di essi, testimonianza  delle esercitazioni militari di Capo Teulada. La mia giornata in mare comincia con una “cala” a strascico al mattino presto; durante la giornata, se effettuo la pesca mirata ai crostacei (gamberi rossi e viola, scampi, gobbetti, gamberi bianchi), effettuo circa 3 cale da 5 ore l’una, mentre se faccio la pesca mirata a pesci effettuo 4 cale di circa 4 ore l'una. Dopo che la rete viene salpata, si seleziona, si incassetta e conserva il pescato, nelle celle frigorifere, si pulisce la coperta, mentre la rete è di nuovo in pesca, parte dell'equipaggio riposa nelle cuccette, mentre gli altri cucinano o effettuano le pulizie. Si torna in Porto verso le 3 del mattino, si consegna il pescato al grossista che attende in banchina e si riprende il mare. La giornata in cui la barca si ferma è il sabato, dopo le operazioni di pulizia a bordo l’equipaggio è dispensato. Si riprende il mare generalmente il lunedì mattina molto presto.
Partecipo a questo progetto perché sono contento di dare un piccolo contributo alla pulizia del mare che noi pescatori abbiamo spesso considerato come una risorsa da sfruttare, non curandoci troppo della sua salute. Oggi abbiamo acquisito un pò tutti una coscienza più sensibile alle problematiche dell'ambiente e ci rendiamo conto che esso non gode più di ottima salute. per questo molti di noi raccolgono i rifiuti e li portano a terra per far effettuare lo smaltimento.

Tiago has been a fisherman since 2021, is married, and has 1 child. His family lives in the Z-10 colony where he fishes. 
He is very happy to have the opportunity to clean the sea in the place where he was born and raised. 

Tiago è un pescatore dal 2021, è sposato e ha 1 figlio. La sua famiglia vive nella colonia Z-10 dove lui pesca. 
È molto felice di avere l'opportunità di pulire il mare nel luogo in cui è nato e cresciuto.

Francinaldo has 2 children and 1 grandchild. He has been a fisherman since 2000 and is very grateful for the project because it allows him to safeguard the ocean he fishes in. 

Francinaldo ha 2 figli e 1 nipote. È un pescatore dal 2000 ed è molto grato per il progetto perchè gli permette di salvaguardare l'oceano in cui pesca.

In 1977 Muzzafer began sailing in southern Italy, in Naples to be exact.  In 2008 he moved to the port of Cesenatico with "Dilara C," the boat with which he fishes and collects litter from the sea.

Nel 1977 Muzzafer ha incominciato a navigare in sud Italia, a Napoli per l'esattezza.  Nel 2008 si è spostato nel porto di Cesenatico con "Dilara C", l'imbarcazione con cui pesca e raccoglie rifiuti dal mare.

Sono pescatore da quando ero ragazzo e da quando il mare era una risorsa per tutti, oggi purtroppo alcune specie non sono più presenti e rischiamo che altre scompaiono per colpa dell'inquinamento marino.

I Made Suwastika is 41 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Wayan Sutaryani and has one son. I Made Suwastika has been fishing since he was a child. Because of this, 20 years ago, he decided to turn his passion into his job and he also joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, in 2005. In addition to his work at sea, he is also a hotel security guard.

I Made Suwastika ha 41 anni e vive a Denpasar. È sposato con Wayan Sutaryani e ha un figlio. I Made Suwastika pesca fin da quando era bambino. Proprio per questo, 20 anni fa, ha deciso di trasformare la sua passione nel suo lavoro e nel 2005 si è unito a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, la comunità locale di pescatori. Oltre al suo lavoro in mare, lui è anche la guardia di sicurezza di un hotel.

Jorge has been a fisherman for about 37 years. The sea is an ally for him: they support each other to ensure a better future. 

Jorge è pescatore da circa 37 anni. Il mare per lui è un alleato: si sostengono a vicenda per assicurarsi un futuro migliore. 

Gianni has been fishing in the Adriatic Sea with his boat "The Seagull" since 1885. For him, saving the sea means protecting the future of his 3 children, which is why he is happy to do it.  

Gianni è dal 1885 che pesca nel mare Adriatico con la sua barca "Il Gabbiano". Per lui salvare il mare significa tutelare il futuro dei suoi 3 figli, ed è per questo che è contento di farlo.

Leonardo was 15 years old when he started sailing the seas; he has spent more time at sea than on land. 
He loves the ocean so much that he created his own slogan that he always exclaims: "The sea has given us so much, let's not take it in the face!"

Leonardo aveva 15 anni quando ha iniziato a salpare i mari, ha trascorso più tempo in mare che sulla terraferma. 
Lui ama così tanto l'oceano da aver creato un suo slogan che esclama sempre: "Il mare ci ha dato tanto, non prendiamolo a pesci in faccia!"

I Wayan Budi is 50 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Made Erniasih and has one son. He recently discovered KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, in fact he only joined the fishing community in 2018, even though he has been a fishing passionate since childhood. In addition to being a fisherman, he also sells fruit.

I Wayan Budi ha 50 anni e vive a Denpasar. È sposato con Ni Made Erniasih e ha un figlio. Ha scoperto da poco il KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, infatti si è unito alla comunità di pescatori solo nel 2018, nonostante sia un appassionato di pesca fin dall'infanzia. Oltre a fare il pescatore, vende anche frutta.

I Wayan Sember is 64 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Komang Seniwati and has 2 children. He started fishing in 2005, 17 years ago, when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. He joined the fishing community because his parents used to take him with them to fish when he was very young. In addition to his occupation at sea, he also works as a LINMAS (community protection).

Si è unito alla comunità di pescatori perché i suoi genitori lo portavano con loro a pescare già quando era molto piccolo. Oltre alla sua occupazione in mare lavora anche come LINMAS (protezione della comunità).

Come tutti faccio parte anch'io di una famiglia di pescatori  dove il tuo destino è già scritto ma poi col tempo pensi che è l'unico mestiere che vorresti fare, stare a stretto contatto con il mare è un'esperienza unica e raccogliere i suoi frutti e ancora di più. Oggi oltre ai frutti raccogliamo plastiche, pneumatici, ecc. che finiscono nelle nostre reti rendendole pesanti e talvolta producono danni economici con la sostituzione della stessa. Il progetto OGYRE che ricicla i rifiuti è un primo passo per la pulizia del mare.

LUIGI

Ciro, 31 years old, practices deep-sea fishing aboard the "Nuova Lucia." He chose this profession because he loves the sea and all its wonders, but he is increasingly concerned about the steady increase in plastic bottles year after year. He is a sincere and straightforward young man, always at the forefront in the fight for cleaning up the sea.

Ciro, 31 anni, pratica la pesca d'altura con il "Nuova Lucia". Ha scelto questa professione perché ama il mare e tutte le sue meraviglie, ma sta osservando con preoccupazione l'aumento costante delle bottiglie di plastica anno dopo anno. È un giovane sincero e schietto, sempre in prima linea nella lotta per la pulizia del mare.

Luiz Fernando has been fishing for crabs since he was little, but at the age of 16 his father, who was also a fisherman, died and he took over his father's role and started fishing in the open sea. Today he has 2 children and 1 stepson. In his free time, he likes to play football but now he's too old (55 years old) he can't do it anymore because of his knee and back. Currently his go-to hobby is riding a bicycle. When fishing is bad, he tries to get other jobs, such as construction material loader and he even collects aluminium cans from the streets to sell to recyclers. He thinks the project is interesting because it allows to collect a lot of waste from the sea.

Luiz Fernando è stato un pescatore di granchi quando era piccolo, ma a 16 anni suo padre, che era un pescatore, è morto e lui l’ha sostituito, iniziando a pescare in mare aperto. Oggi ha due figli e un figliastro. Nel suo tempo libero gli piaceva giocare a calcio, attività che ora che è invecchiato (ha 55 anni) non riesce più a fare, a causa delle condizioni delle sue ginocchia e della schiena. Al momento il suo hobby preferito è andare in bicicletta. 
Quando si pesca poco, cerca di trovare altri lavori, dal caricare materiali edili al raccogliere lattine di alluminio dalle strade per venderle al riciclatore. Ritiene che il progetto sia interessante, in quanto consente di raccogliere molti rifiuti dal mare.

Alair is 63 years old, he’s worked as a fisherman since he was 14, almost all of his life. In his spare time, he likes to take care of his fishing gear and make new nets. He has 3 children. He thinks the project is great for fishermen.

Alair ha 63 anni, è pescatore da quando ne aveva 14, praticamente da sempre. Nel tempo libero gli piace prendersi cura della sua attrezzatura da pesca e intrecciare nuove reti. Pensa che il progetto sia ottimo per i pescatori.
