I Made Purnawan is 49 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Wayan Arnasih and has 2 children. In 2005 he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, because fishing has been his passion since childhood. In addition to his work at sea, he is also a taxi driver.

Alair is 63 years old, he’s worked as a fisherman since he was 14, almost all of his life. In his spare time, he likes to take care of his fishing gear and make new nets. He has 3 children. He thinks the project is great for fishermen.

Alair ha 63 anni, è pescatore da quando ne aveva 14, praticamente da sempre. Nel tempo libero gli piace prendersi cura della sua attrezzatura da pesca e intrecciare nuove reti. Pensa che il progetto sia ottimo per i pescatori.

Luciano is 43 years old and has been a fisherman for about 30 years, he has been a fisherman basically all his life. In his spare time he likes to go for walks, he has two children and is married. He considers the project effective and wonderful.

I Wayan Sember is 64 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Komang Seniwati and has 2 children. He started fishing in 2005, 17 years ago, when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. He joined the fishing community because his parents used to take him with them to fish when he was very young. In addition to his occupation at sea, he also works as a LINMAS (community protection).

Si è unito alla comunità di pescatori perché i suoi genitori lo portavano con loro a pescare già quando era molto piccolo. Oltre alla sua occupazione in mare lavora anche come LINMAS (protezione della comunità).

I Made Sudana is 40 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married with Ni Made Indrantini and has 3 children. He has been working as a fisherman for 17 years and has joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, since 2005. He decided to join the Ogyre project because then, in addition to traditional fishing, he can protect nature by "fishing" for litter trapped in the mangrove forest. When, due to weather, he cannot go out to sea, he works as a driver in his hometown.

Quando, a causa del tempo, non può uscire in mare lavora come autista nella sua città. 

José has been an artisan since 1990. Fishing is his passion and his second income that allows him to support his family even better.

I Made Suwastika is 41 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Wayan Sutaryani and has one son. I Made Suwastika has been fishing since he was a child. Because of this, 20 years ago, he decided to turn his passion into his job and he also joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, in 2005. In addition to his work at sea, he is also a hotel security guard.

Oltre al suo lavoro in mare, lui è anche la guardia di sicurezza di un hotel.

I Wayan Suarnata is 28 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married with 2 children and has been a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang member for 7 years. He became a fisherman to support his family and now collects marine litter to make the planet a better place for his childeren's future as well.

I Wayan Sudiasa is 42 years old, lives in Denpasar and is married with 5 children. He started fishing 10 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. He became a fisherman because he chose to follow in the footsteps of his grandparents who also passed on to him a respect for the planet. This is precisely why he is very happy to be able to protect it by collecting marine litter.

Proprio per questo è molto felice di poterlo proteggere raccogliendo rifiuti dal mare. 

Wayan Pasek Pastika is 40 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Nyoman Rasmini and has 2 children. He joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang fishing community in 2005 because fishing has been his passion since he was a child. In addition to his occupation at sea, he also works as a gas station attendant.

Nel 2005 entrato a far parte della comunità di pescatori KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang perché la pesca è la sua passione già da quando era bambino. Oltre alla sua occupazione in mare, lavora anche come benzinaio.

I Ketut Lodra is 52 years old, lives in Denpansar and is married with 2 children. He started fishing 9 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Becoming a fisherman allows him to support his family and at the same time protect his beloved sea.

Leonardo was 15 years old when he started sailing the seas; he has spent more time at sea than on land. 
He loves the ocean so much that he created his own slogan that he always exclaims: "The sea has given us so much, let's not take it in the face!"

Leonardo aveva 15 anni quando ha iniziato a salpare i mari, ha trascorso più tempo in mare che sulla terraferma. 
Lui ama così tanto l'oceano da aver creato un suo slogan che esclama sempre: "Il mare ci ha dato tanto, non prendiamolo a pesci in faccia!"

Marco was born into a large family, and his father was a fisherman. At the age of 6 he started fishing with him, looking between the rocks for octopuses. These fishing activities enchanted him so much that in third grade he mastered the skill of making nets.
At 15 he decided to embark for the first time, and he hasn't stopped fishing at sea since.

Marco è nato in una famiglia numerosa in cui il padre faceva il pescatore. Con lui ha iniziato a pescare fin da quando aveva 6 anni, andando a cerca di polpi. La manualità dei pescatori lo affascinava, tanto che in terza elementare già sapeva fare le reti.
A 15 anni si è imbarcato per la prima volta, e da allora non ha più smesso.

I Wayan Budi is 50 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Made Erniasih and has one son. He recently discovered KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, in fact he only joined the fishing community in 2018, even though he has been a fishing passionate since childhood. In addition to being a fisherman, he also sells fruit.

Ha scoperto da poco il KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, infatti si è unito alla comunità di pescatori solo nel 2018, nonostante sia un appassionato di pesca fin dall'infanzia. Oltre a fare il pescatore, vende anche frutta.

Rodrigo, better known as ‘’Tecão’’, has been a fisherman for 20 years, lives in Praia dos Bancários, is single and has a 14-year-old daughter. In his free time he likes to drink beer and go fishing.

Rodrigo, meglio conosciuto come "Tecão" è un pescatore da 20 anni. Vive a Praia dos Bancários, è single e ha una figlia di 14 anni. Nel tempo libero gli piace uscire a bere una birra con gli amici e andare a pesca.

Simone is 32 years old and he is the youngest among the fishermen of Santa Margherita.
During the week he goes out on the Felicina with his father, while on weekends he works in his small floating fry, "Il Pescitariano".

Simone ha 32 anni ed è il più giovane tra i pescatori di Santa Margherita.
Durante la settimana esce sulla Felicina con il padre, mentre nei fine settimana lavora nella sua piccola friggitoria galleggiante, "Il Pescitariano".

I Nyoman Sumantra is 37 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Komang Sri Purnama Wati. I Nyoman Sumantra has been working as a fisherman for 30 years and joined the fishing community KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang in 2005. Given his passion for the sea and fishing, he also works as a lifeguard.

I Wayan Mandi is 59 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Nyoman Wirti and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Fishing is his great passion; it has been 35 years since he went fishing for the first time in his life. In 2005, he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang to share his passion and experience with people who love the sea just like him. As a side business, he also sells fish bait.

La pesca è la sua grande passione, sono passati 35 anni da quando è andato a pescare per la prima volta nella sua vita. Come attività secondaria, vende anche esche per pesci.

He has chosen to help clean up the Adriatic with future generations in mind - to let them live and experience a litter-free sea.

Lui ha scelto di aiutare a ripulire l'adriatico pensando alle generazioni future: per far in modo che anche loro possano conoscere e vivere un mare senza rifiuti.

Edson started fishing in 1970, when he was 12 years old, and has always fished in Guanabara Bay.
He currently goes fishing with his wife and in recent years has noticed an increasing amount of trash in the waters so he decided to start collecting it. 

Edson ha iniziato a pescare nel 1970, quando aveva 12 anni, nella Baia di Guanabara. Lui pesca con la moglie e, a causa della crescente quantità di rifiuti nelle acque, ha deciso di aderire al progetto di raccolta.

Jose has always loved the sea and started fishing when he was 47 years old. He immediately noticed the increasing degradation of ocean conditions, which is precisely why he joined the collection project.

Tiago has been a fisherman since 2021, is married, and has 1 child. His family lives in the Z-10 colony where he fishes. 
He is very happy to have the opportunity to clean the sea in the place where he was born and raised.

Jussiara and the beginning of her lovely relationship with fishing dates back to the golden years of her youth. In this perspective, the sea has always been fundamental to her, becoming the window from which she could observe the world and grasp her main reason of life. 

L’amore per la pesca di Jussiara ebbe inizio negli anni d’oro della sua giovinezza. Il mare è sempre stato fondamentale per lei, a tal punto da essere la finestra da cui tuttora guarda il mondo e da cui trae la sua fonte primaria di vita.

I Wayan Suletra is 56 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to I Nyoman Ayu Mudiarta and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He officially became a fisherman 35 years old even though he and his parents had been going out to sea for many years before that. In addition to fishing, he also works as a janitor at the village office.

I Wayan Wirawan is 47 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Eka Ediawati and has 3 children. He started fishing 25 years ago and joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang in 2005, the local fishing community. Since he was a child he looked forward to spending his days at sea, so he decided to turn his passion into his occupation. In addition to fishing, I Wayan is a laborer in a construction site.

Ha iniziato a pescare 25 anni fa e si è unito a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang nel 2005, la comunità locale di pescatori. Fin da quando era bambino lui non vedeva l'ora di trascorrere le sue giornate in mare, per questo ha deciso di trasformare la sua passione nella sua occupazione. Oltre a pescare, I Wayan fa l'operaio in un cantiere edile.

In 1977 Muzzafer began sailing in southern Italy, in Naples to be exact.  In 2008 he moved to the port of Cesenatico with "Dilara C," the boat with which he fishes and collects litter from the sea.

Nel 1977 Muzzafer ha incominciato a navigare in sud Italia, a Napoli per l'esattezza.  Nel 2008 si è spostato nel porto di Cesenatico con "Dilara C", l'imbarcazione con cui pesca e raccoglie rifiuti dal mare.

I Wayan Kurcana is 48 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Ni Nyoman Darni and has 4 children. He joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang in 2005, so he has 17 years of experience as a fisherman. He decided to try his hand at fishing because his grandfather instilled this passion in him and he wants to follow his teachings. In addition to his occupation at sea, he also works as a mechanic.

I Wayan Kurcana ha 48 anni e vive a Kuta. È sposato con Ni Nyoman Darni e ha 4 figli. È entrato a far parte del KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang nel 2005, quindi ha 17 anni di esperienza come pescatore. Ha deciso di cimentarsi nella pesca perché suo nonno gli ha trasmesso questa passione e lui vuole seguire i suoi insegnamenti. Oltre alla sua occupazione in mare, lavora anche come meccanico.

I Made Mudita is 44 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Ni Luh Putu Supadmi and has 2 children. He has 17 years of experience as a fisherman: he started his career when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang in 2005, the local fishing community. In addition to his work as a fisherman, I Made is also an entrepreneur.

Gianni has been fishing in the Adriatic Sea with his boat "The Seagull" since 1885. For him, saving the sea means protecting the future of his 3 children, which is why he is happy to do it.  

Gianni è dal 1885 che pesca nel mare Adriatico con la sua barca "Il Gabbiano". Per lui salvare il mare significa tutelare il futuro dei suoi 3 figli, ed è per questo che è contento di farlo.

For five years, Massimo worked on a petriolier before moving into the fishing business. Initially, on offshore boats, then from 1995, with trawling boats, assisting with the recovery of protected animals in trouble and with waste collection.

Massimo per 5 anni ha lavorato su petrioliere poi si è spostato nel settore della pesca. Prima su imbarcazioni d'altura e da 8 anni lavora nel porto di Cesenatico con la pesca a strascico, collaborando per il recupero di animali protetti in difficoltà e con la raccolta dei rifiuti.

Mario Sergio Francisco has been married for 11 years and has 2 children. 
Increasingly unsuccessful fishing has prompted him to protect the ocean by collecting trash from the sea. His goal is to make the sea cleaner for future generations.

La pesca sempre meno fruttuosa l'ha spinto a proteggere l'oceano raccogliendo rifiuti dal mare. Il suo obiettivo è rendere il mare più pulito per le prossime generazioni.

Alessandro started fishing when he was very young, thanks to the teachings of more experienced fishermen. 
Twelve years ago he finally got a boat of his own.  He helps with the collection of litter, protecting the waters of his Adriatic.  

Alessandro ha iniziato a lavorare in mare quando era molto giovane grazie agli insegnamenti di pescatori più esperti. 
12 anni fa ha finalmente preso un'imbarcazione tutta sua con cui esce per pescare e per riportare rifiuti, tutelando così le acque del suo Adriatico.

Alberto has been working for 10 years on the boat "Martin Pescatore." For him, the sea is a passion such that, in addition to picking up litter while fishing, he works with the local marine animal rescue center. 

Alberto lavora da 10 anni a bordo di "Martin Pescatore". Per lui il mare è una passione tant'è che, oltre a raccogliere rifiuti durante la pesca, collabora con il centro di recupero animali marini della zona.
