For the second consecutive year, Shiseido and Ogyre renew their shared commitment to protecting the marine environment, uniting values, vision, and meaningful action in a project of collective responsibility.
Following the removal of 10,000 kg of marine litter in 2024, the initiative continues in 2025 with the same ambition: to recover another 10,000 kg from our seas, thanks to a program that directly engages fishing communities in Italy, Brazil, and Indonesia.
A gesture inspired by a deep sense of duty to the Planet — a tribute to what truly deserves our care: the wellbeing of marine ecosystems, delicate yet vital to the balance of life on Earth.

Per il secondo anno consecutivo, Shiseido e Ogyre rinnovano il loro impegno comune per la tutela dell’ambiente marino, unendo valori, visione e azione concreta in un progetto di responsabilità condivisa.

Dopo aver rimosso 10.000 kg di rifiuti marini nel 2024, il progetto continua nel 2025 con lo stesso obiettivo: altri 10.000 kg saranno raccolti dai nostri mari grazie al programma che coinvolge direttamente le comunità di pescatori in Italia, Brasile e Indonesia.

Un’azione guidata da un profondo senso di responsabilità verso il Pianeta, un gesto di cura per ciò che davvero merita di essere custodito: il benessere degli ecosistemi marini, fragili e fondamentali per l’equilibrio della vita sulla Terra.

He loves the ocean so much that he created his own slogan that he always exclaims: "The sea has given us so much, let's not take it in the face!"

Leonardo aveva 15 anni quando ha iniziato a salpare i mari, ha trascorso più tempo in mare che sulla terraferma. 
Lui ama così tanto l'oceano da aver creato un suo slogan che esclama sempre: "Il mare ci ha dato tanto, non prendiamolo a pesci in faccia!"

Marco was born into a large family, and his father was a fisherman. At the age of 6 he started fishing with him, looking between the rocks for octopuses. These fishing activities enchanted him so much that in third grade he mastered the skill of making nets.
At 15 he decided to embark for the first time, and he hasn't stopped fishing at sea since.

Marco è nato in una famiglia numerosa in cui il padre faceva il pescatore. Con lui ha iniziato a pescare fin da quando aveva 6 anni, andando a cerca di polpi. La manualità dei pescatori lo affascinava, tanto che in terza elementare già sapeva fare le reti.
A 15 anni si è imbarcato per la prima volta, e da allora non ha più smesso.

Alair is 63 years old, he’s worked as a fisherman since he was 14, almost all of his life. In his spare time, he likes to take care of his fishing gear and make new nets. He has 3 children. He thinks the project is great for fishermen.

Alair ha 63 anni, è pescatore da quando ne aveva 14, praticamente da sempre. Nel tempo libero gli piace prendersi cura della sua attrezzatura da pesca e intrecciare nuove reti. Pensa che il progetto sia ottimo per i pescatori.

I Ketut Lodra is 52 years old, lives in Denpansar and is married with 2 children. He started fishing 9 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Becoming a fisherman allows him to support his family and at the same time protect his beloved sea.  

I Ketut Lodra ha 52 anni, vive a Denpansar ed è sposato con 2 figli. Ha iniziato a pescare 9 anni fa, quando è entrato a far parte del KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Diventare pescatore gli permettere di sostenere la sua famiglia e allo stesso tempo proteggere il suo amato mare.

Francinaldo has 2 children and 1 grandchild. He has been a fisherman since 2000 and is very grateful for the project because it allows him to safeguard the ocean he fishes in.

I Wayan Sember is 64 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to Komang Seniwati and has 2 children. He started fishing in 2005, 17 years ago, when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. He joined the fishing community because his parents used to take him with them to fish when he was very young. In addition to his occupation at sea, he also works as a LINMAS (community protection).

I Wayan Sember ha 64 anni e vive a Kuta. È sposato con Komang Seniwati e ha 2 figli. Ha iniziato a pescare nel 2005, 17 anni fa, quando è entrato a far parte del KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. Si è unito alla comunità di pescatori perché i suoi genitori lo portavano con loro a pescare già quando era molto piccolo. Oltre alla sua occupazione in mare lavora anche come LINMAS (protezione della comunità).

I Wayan Budi is 50 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Made Erniasih and has one son. He recently discovered KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, in fact he only joined the fishing community in 2018, even though he has been a fishing passionate since childhood. In addition to being a fisherman, he also sells fruit.

Ha scoperto da poco il KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, infatti si è unito alla comunità di pescatori solo nel 2018, nonostante sia un appassionato di pesca fin dall'infanzia. Oltre a fare il pescatore, vende anche frutta.

I Wayan Sudiasa is 42 years old, lives in Denpasar and is married with 5 children. He started fishing 10 years ago when he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang. He became a fisherman because he chose to follow in the footsteps of his grandparents who also passed on to him a respect for the planet. This is precisely why he is very happy to be able to protect it by collecting marine litter.

É diventato pescatore perché ha scelto di seguire le orme dei suoi nonni che gli hanno anche trasmesso il rispetto per il pianeta. Proprio per questo è molto felice di poterlo proteggere raccogliendo rifiuti dal mare. 

Married father of 3 children and grandfather of 3 grandchildren, fishing since 1980, very grateful to be able to participate in the project and help clean the sea.

Luiz Carlos è sposato, padre di tre figli e nonno di 3 nipoti, pesca dal 1980. E’ molto grato di poter partecipare al progetto e contribuire alla pulizia dei mari.

Ailton has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He worked for 12 years in an airline company and is now the keeper of the fishing colony. In his free time he likes to tidy up and play dominoes. 

Ailton ha 3 figli e 3 nipoti. Ha lavorato per 12 anni in una compagnia aerea e ora è il custode della colonia di pescatori. Nel suo tempo libero gli piace riordinare e giocare a domino.

I Made Suwastika is 41 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Wayan Sutaryani and has one son. I Made Suwastika has been fishing since he was a child. Because of this, 20 years ago, he decided to turn his passion into his job and he also joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, in 2005. In addition to his work at sea, he is also a hotel security guard.

Proprio per questo, 20 anni fa, ha deciso di trasformare la sua passione nel suo lavoro e nel 2005 si è unito a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, la comunità locale di pescatori. Oltre al suo lavoro in mare, lui è anche la guardia di sicurezza di un hotel.

Luciano is 43 years old and has been a fisherman for about 30 years, he has been a fisherman basically all his life. In his spare time he likes to go for walks, he has two children and is married. He considers the project effective and wonderful.

Luciano ha 43 anni ed è pescatore da circa 30 anni, praticamente da tutta la sua vita. Durante il tempo libero gli piace fare passeggiate. Ha due bambini ed è sposato. Considera il progetto efficace e meraviglioso.

Samuel has been fishing in Rio since 2003 to support his large family - he is married and he has five children!
Besides fishing, he enjoys flying kites, playing marbles, and doing mechanical repairs.

Samuel pesca a Rio dal 2003 per mantenere la sua numerosa famiglia: è sposato e ha 5 figli!
Oltre a pescare, gli piace far volare gli aquiloni, giocare a biglie e fare riparazioni meccaniche.

I Wayan Suarnata is 28 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married with 2 children and has been a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang member for 7 years. He became a fisherman to support his family and now collects marine litter to make the planet a better place for his childeren's future as well. 

I Wayan Suarnata ha 28 anni e vive a Denpasar. É sposato, ha 2 figli ed è membro KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang da 7 anni. Lui è diventato pescatore per supportare la sua famiglia e raccoglie rifiuti marini per rendere il Pianeta un posto migliore anche per il futuro dei suoi bambini.  

I Wayan Mandi is 59 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Nyoman Wirti and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Fishing is his great passion; it has been 35 years since he went fishing for the first time in his life. In 2005, he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang to share his passion and experience with people who love the sea just like him. As a side business, he also sells fish bait.

La pesca è la sua grande passione, sono passati 35 anni da quando è andato a pescare per la prima volta nella sua vita. Nel 2005 si è unito al KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang per condividere la sua passione e la sua esperienza con persone che amano il mare proprio come lui. Come attività secondaria, vende anche esche per pesci.

I Wayan Suletra is 56 years old and lives in Kuta. He is married to I Nyoman Ayu Mudiarta and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He officially became a fisherman 35 years old even though he and his parents had been going out to sea for many years before that. In addition to fishing, he also works as a janitor at the village office.

I Wayan Suletra ha 56 anni ed è di Kuta. È sposato con I Nyoman Ayu Mudiarta e ha 2 figli e 4 nipoti. È diventato ufficialmente un pescatore 35 anni anche se, insieme ai suoi genitori, usciva in mare già da molti anni prima. Oltre alla pesca, lavora anche come custode presso la sede del villaggio.

Born during the war, I learned the value of hard work and sacrifice at an early age. As a young man, I began my career as a factory worker in a metalworking plant in Naples. Over time, with determination and passion for my craft, I rose to the position of team leader and earned the title of highly specialized worker.
Later, I continued my professional journey in a refinery, where I led a team of workers for several years. It was an intense and formative experience, but deep inside, I always held onto a dream: the sea.
At the age of forty, with the savings of a lifetime, I decided to make that dream come true. I bought a boat and began a new life as a fisherman. Since then, whenever the weather allows, I go out to sea with my son Giuseppe, who chose to follow in my footsteps. Fishing has become not just a job, but a shared passion—a deep bond between father and son, and with the sea, which I have always felt is my true home.

Nato durante la guerra, ho conosciuto presto il valore del lavoro e del sacrificio. Fin da ragazzo ho iniziato la mia carriera come operaio in una fabbrica metalmeccanica di Napoli. Con il tempo, la determinazione e la passione per il mestiere mi hanno portato a diventare capo-squadra e a ottenere la qualifica di operaio superspecializzato.
Successivamente ho proseguito il mio percorso professionale in una raffineria, dove per diversi anni ho avuto la responsabilità di guidare una squadra di operai. È stata un’esperienza intensa e formativa, ma dentro di me è sempre rimasto vivo un sogno: il mare.
A quarant’anni, con i risparmi di una vita, ho deciso di realizzarlo. Ho acquistato una barca e ho iniziato una nuova vita come pescatore. Da allora, ogni volta che il tempo lo permette, esco in mare insieme a mio figlio Giuseppe, che ha scelto di seguire le mie orme. La pesca è diventata non solo un lavoro, ma una passione condivisa, un legame profondo tra padre e figlio, e con il mare che da sempre sento come casa.

I Wayan Wirawan is 47 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Eka Ediawati and has 3 children. He started fishing 25 years ago and joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang in 2005, the local fishing community. Since he was a child he looked forward to spending his days at sea, so he decided to turn his passion into his occupation. In addition to fishing, I Wayan is a laborer in a construction site.

Ha iniziato a pescare 25 anni fa e si è unito a KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang nel 2005, la comunità locale di pescatori. Fin da quando era bambino lui non vedeva l'ora di trascorrere le sue giornate in mare, per questo ha deciso di trasformare la sua passione nella sua occupazione. Oltre a pescare, I Wayan fa l'operaio in un cantiere edile.

Rodrigo, better known as ‘’Tecão’’, has been a fisherman for 20 years, lives in Praia dos Bancários, is single and has a 14-year-old daughter. In his free time he likes to drink beer and go fishing.

Rodrigo, meglio conosciuto come "Tecão" è un pescatore da 20 anni. Vive a Praia dos Bancários, è single e ha una figlia di 14 anni. Nel tempo libero gli piace uscire a bere una birra con gli amici e andare a pesca.

Charles is 36 years old, he is married and has 4 children. He has been fishing since he was 10 years old and takes great pride in being able to protect his ocean.

My name is Antonello, I’m 38 years old, and I’m a fisherman.
The sea has always been a part of my life: my father is a fisherman, and since I was a child, I’ve listened to his stories and experienced his days spent among nets and waves.
At first, I took a different path: I studied computer science and graduated.
But the sea kept calling me—louder every day—until one day, I decided to answer.

I left everything behind and climbed aboard, starting to fish alongside my father.
Today, I know I made the right choice.
Fishing is hard work, yes—but it’s real. Every day at sea gives me something: freedom, unexpected moments, and the satisfaction of a job you feel in your hands and in your heart.

Mi chiamo Antonello, ho 38 anni e sono un pescatore.
Il mare fa parte della mia vita da sempre: mio padre è pescatore e, fin da bambino, ho ascoltato i suoi racconti e vissuto le sue giornate tra reti e onde.
All’inizio ho seguito un’altra strada: ho studiato informatica e mi sono diplomato. Ma il mare ha continuato a chiamarmi, ogni giorno più forte. Finché un giorno ho deciso di ascoltarlo.
Ho lasciato tutto e sono salito a bordo, iniziando a pescare al fianco di mio padre.
Oggi so di aver fatto la scelta giusta.
La pesca è faticosa, sì, ma è vera. Ogni uscita in mare mi regala qualcosa: la libertà, l’imprevisto, la soddisfazione di un lavoro che senti nelle mani e nel cuore.

I Made Sudana is 40 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married with Ni Made Indrantini and has 3 children. He has been working as a fisherman for 17 years and has joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, since 2005. He decided to join the Ogyre project because then, in addition to traditional fishing, he can protect nature by "fishing" for litter trapped in the mangrove forest. When, due to weather, he cannot go out to sea, he works as a driver in his hometown.

Quando, a causa del tempo, non può uscire in mare lavora come autista nella sua città. 

I Made Purnawan is 49 years old and lives in Denpasar. He is married to Ni Wayan Arnasih and has 2 children. In 2005 he joined KUB Segara Guna Batu Lumbang, the local fishing community, because fishing has been his passion since childhood. In addition to his work at sea, he is also a taxi driver.
